Balancing the Vata

Kapha

Due to the influx of pollen-based allergens in the spring, kapha-type allergies are more likely to become worse. In the digestive tract, kapha type allergies can produce a certain heaviness in the stomach and sluggish digestion. Kapha allergy symptoms include irritation of the mucous membranes, asthma, congestion, hay fever, cold, water retention, cough, sinus infection, and even sleeping disorders.

Balancing the Kapha

  • Eat plenty of whole grains, beans, and yogurt: Whole grains, beans, and yogurt will help to balance Kapha dosha.
